Terms

Prices and renewals

• Prices are per server per year, in US dollars.
• Renewals are at the current price, with 60 days' notice of any change.
• After a price increase, current customers keep their old price for one more renewal.
• Discounts do not stack. The best one applies.

When a license or trial ends

• When a trial ends, Farwing Server runs in Free mode from that day.
• When a paid license ends, every feature keeps working for 14 more days. Then Farwing Server runs in Free mode.
• Free mode never deletes data and never locks anyone out.
• Users over 5 become view-only: they can still log in, browse and download. Extra hot folders and sync jobs pause, and start again when a new license is loaded.
• Packages already sent stay downloadable until their own expiry date.

Servers and standby

• A license is for one Farwing Server, identified by its install ID.
• A license that includes a standby server also names a second install. The standby license is for failover only: run the standby while the main server is down, not as a second live server alongside it.
• Switching to the standby and back is manual.
